Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh, daughter-in-law of the Royal family of J&K, founding Chairperson of the Women Wing of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) visited Army Public School Damana on 18 March 2024. Accompanied by her mother, she was accorded a warm welcome by Mrs Pushpinder Kaur Principal APS Damana. Brig Vivek Puri, SM Chairman APS Damana, Mrs Ghina Vivek Puri, Chairperson FWO Chenab Bde and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The visit began with the chanting of Sanskrit Shloka by Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh for invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati lending an air of divinity. In the benign ambiance, she, along with other dignitaries, took a round of the school campus which included visit to Atal Tinkering Lab, English Language Lab, Sports Room, NDA Room, Art Room and other specific areas.
She also applauded the artistic manifestation of the students. The foremost idea of the visit is to seek motivation from the journey and vibrant persona of the Chief Guest. It also intended to serve a platform for the promotion of collaborative hubs of learning. In the welcome address, Mrs Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana extended heartfelt welcome to the guests on behalf of the school fraternity. Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh, in her address, congratulated the school for excelling in Academics and Co-curricular fields.
She further appreciated the work of the students in the Atal Tinkering Lab of the school and motivated them to stay focused about their aims and goals and always implement their creative ideas in an interesting and experiential way. She appreciated the resplendent array of projects and models prepared by students of APS Damana.
